This is such a distinct and unique gesture of raising awareness around the world about the impact of sea level rise on nations like that of Maldives.

Truly shocking.

We might as well have to be under the sea.

But I just don't see we are doing anything to protect our environment. Just walk down the beaches of any island and observe on your own - the vast amount of litter floating on the water, plastic bottles, polythene shopping bags, what not. In Male' it is worse. Now you call that preaching what you don't practise for yourselves, shame on us.

Actually, no Maldivian seems to be too concerned about sealevel rise and greenhouse gases. They live so close to the sea, they know well that if they fall and do not know how to swim then there's only one thing that can happen.

The real thing does not look half as bad as I thought.

Let's hope this will make an impact on the issue.

Historic day today, isn't it? Anni-mari went back to his true home under H20 with his ghoulish entourage. Pity they came back (truly, us 'dhiveheen' under a real bad luck phase). But maybe, if fate wills it, we might be given some respite and compensation later in the afternoon by a certain infamous bicycle ride turning into a case of 'magumathi elhun' or something similar-Must keep of good cheer, even in these dark times for sanity’s' sake. Oddly enough, now it seems to me that we've indeed got more serious and urgent issues to address than merely climate change... Like the restoration of our national pride, honor, dignity, justice and truth. Here's hoping and praying for a modern-day 'Abul Barakath-ul Barbari to save us from our real calamity. May God grant us courage and patience meanwhile!!!

Alhamdhulillaah, we got the person, who is a true leader. Who leads our country in the way that benefits for the country and for the people. Not for the beneficial, for himself.

Yaa Allah, please bless him and our country
Yaa Allah please give him the Hikma and wisdom to rule this muslim country wisely.... Ameeen

Anni is killing any hope of investment to Maldives. Investors are running away as we are sinking under the sea. The message that our cabinet meets underwater send goose bums to investors.

Ever wondered why world media has categorized this so called publicity stunt as "WIERD"? And you still refuse to see the bigger picture. Underwater orgies, cocktail parties, incitement of hatred, absolute corruption....and you still go on seeking the blessing of Allah, while in reality this demonic demagogue is challenging the Islamic faith.

Father of human rights became a Father of Environment overnight....what a stunt!

When is he becoming a Father of Economy or a Genius?

Economy is all what we are worried about! Do something about it!

Mr President! The people are struggling to secure their bread and butter, many of them! So why don't you become a master in managing economy during crises like MR MAHATHIR of Malaysia?

Best of luck HEP!

An interesting publicity stunt, but the sea level around the Maldives is not rising. The highest authority on this is Dr Nils-Axel Morner, head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department at Stockholm University, who has been studying the subject for 35 years. The sea level fell by about 20 cms in the 1970s and has not changed since.

The temperature has been dropping since 1998, and Al Gore can't seem to stop it. Global warming and all the enviro-hysteria it breeds is pure bunk! We are still waiting for the new ice age we were assured by "scientists" in the 1970's was on its way. So what happened to that?
